Auto Accident Chiropractic

Woman with sore neck from accidentThe law states you have 14 days from the day of the accident to be seen by a doctor and evaluated for possible injuries sustained in a car accident in Spring Hill. If the time exceeds 14 days, the insurance company will not pay for medical expenses.

In an attempt to reduce fraudulent claims, the state passed this law to help the insurance companies, but it has also made it hard for people with sustained injuries to get proper medical care. This underscores the need to see a doctor to ensure that no serious injuries have occurred.

Advanced Training for Whiplash Injuries

Dr. Robert Martinez (Dr. Bob) received his training on whiplash and brain traumatology from The Spine Research Institute of San Diego on 2014.

This training has prepared Dr. Bob to understand the mechanics of whiplash injury and how it can develop into a long-term problem including muscle pain, joint pain, headaches, arthritis, and other conditions.

Research shows that a whiplash injury can happen at speeds as low as 5 miles per hour. The severity of these injuries is affected by whether the driver is aware of the impending crash.

When a passenger in the vehicle is not aware of the impending crash, for example, in a rear end collision, the energy of the impact is transferred to the discs and ligaments of the skeletal structure. This is where ligaments tear and discs are damaged from the force of impact.
